The municipality's fresh and cool drinking water is drawn from a total of 64 springs, fed via 32 wells, collected in 9 reservoirs and distributed to households via the 55 km long water pipe network. Thanks to the altitude, no pumps are needed. However, the fountain masters are out and about on the mountain every day.
