🏔️🏔️ Municipality of Vaz/Obervaz - The certified "energy town" secures itself with Uepaa!
"With each other. For each other." The motto runs through the community and structure.
The Graubünden mountain community of Vaz/Obervaz is an energy pioneer and certified "energy city" and supplies electricity for 5800 companies. The award certifies that the mountain resort exemplifies and implements a sustainable municipal energy policy. This is done through small projects, such as equipping each new bus stop with a solar lighting system. Or through larger projects, such as the huge photovoltaic system at the Lenzerheide sports centre, which supplies up to 186,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year.
But for Vaz/Obervaz, the "Energy City" label also means the obligation to maintain and care for the infrastructure in order to ensure the continuous supply of energy. This includes:
- 8,000 water shafts
- 205km of pipelines
- 30,000 Water connections
- 332 hydrants
- 300 Main slider
- 300km of power lines
- 6500 Electricity measuring points
- 133 Distribution cabins
- 78 Transformer stations
The uninterrupted supply of the community is in the hands of the plant's ARA, water, heat and EWO power plants - around the clock, day and night. The safety of employees is our top priority, and the Uepaa app is now part of the game:
🛡️ Dead man's function (according to Suva-44094)
🚑 1st Responder (companion assistance alarm)
📱 Bring Your Own Device (Android & iOS)
🇨🇭 A SWISS LABEL product (100% CH quality)
We thank you for your trust and wish all employees a good start with the Uepaa app.
